How We Review
Our Review Standards
Every ingredient is evaluated against peer-reviewed research — not the company's claims.
We check whether doses match what studies actually used — not just whether an ingredient appears on the label.
Marketing language is evaluated against what the studies actually conclude — no marketing copy accepted at face value.
Some links are affiliate links. This never changes our assessment. See our affiliate disclosure for full details.
If you've spent any time searching for neuropathy relief, you've almost certainly come across supplement products with names like Nerve Fresh, Nerve Defend, NervoPure, and Nervive. They're everywhere — on Facebook, in your email inbox, in the margins of every health article you read. And the marketing is compelling: testimonials, celebrity endorsements, clinical-sounding ingredient lists.
I review these products because people ask me about them constantly — and because the information environment around them is genuinely awful. Most of what you'll find online is either a glowing affiliate review written by someone who's never tried the product, or a dismissive “it's all a scam” take that doesn't actually engage with the ingredients. Neither is useful if you're trying to make an informed decision.
My approach is different. For each product, I look at:
- The actual ingredients — and whether there's credible evidence behind them
- The doses — many supplements use ingredients with genuine research support but at dosages too low to have any effect
- The claims vs. the science — what the company says versus what studies actually show
- The honest bottom line — is this worth spending your money on?
I want to be transparent about a few things. First, I'm not a pharmacist or doctor — these are evidence-based assessments from an informed patient advocate, not clinical judgments. Second, some links in these reviews are affiliate links, which means I earn a small commission if you purchase through them. This never changes my assessment, but you deserve to know it. Third, results with any supplement vary considerably — I'll tell you the best-case scenario and the realistic scenario separately.
The bottom line on most of these products: some contain ingredients with genuine research behind them — B vitamins, alpha-lipoic acid, acetyl-L-carnitine. The question is usually whether the formula is well-constructed enough, and the doses high enough, to actually deliver results. That's what I dig into.

One thing I consistently recommend before buying any neuropathy supplement: read the evidence-based supplement guide in our Supplements & Nutrition section first. Understanding what ingredients actually have research support — and at what doses — gives you the framework to evaluate any product on your own.
You shouldn't have to rely on my reviews or anyone else's to make these decisions. You should have enough knowledge to look at a label and draw your own conclusions. But if you want someone to do the legwork for you — I've done the legwork. Let's dig in.
